Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston working as a journalist and co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's reported on the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
